Santana represents more than seven decades of Spanish automotive history. From its origins in Linares, the brand built vehicles with a clear purpose — durability, mechanical integrity and the ability to perform where others could not.
Founded in 1956 in the Andalusian city of Linares, production of off-road vehicles began within two years. These were working machines, engineered for conditions where infrastructure was limited and failure was not an option.
Over the decades, Santana became part of daily life — in rural industries, public services and expeditions across Europe and Africa. Its reputation was built on function, not appearance.

Linares, in the province of Jaén, is more than just the birthplace of Santana — it is where the brand’s story began and where it comes back to life today. Generation after generation, the workers of Linares mastered every detail of production, passing down their knowledge and craftsmanship. That industrial tradition became part of the city’s identity, shaping its character and strengthening its connection to the automotive world.
Santana returns to where its story first began.
Production once again takes place in the historic Linares plant — the same industrial ground that shaped the brand’s identity decades ago. The guiding philosophy remains rooted in reliability, durability and practical engineering.
What has changed is the integration of modern technologies and updated production systems, bringing contemporary standards to a foundation built on experience.
It is a continuation, not a reinvention — the same purpose, renewed for today.
